Asian-fusion cocktails. This spot is right up my alley!

This place has simple, no frills decor. Wooden seats and chairs. People working from their laptops.

We ordered the Watermelon Soju on a hot summer afternoon. The drink arrives in a personal sized watermelon, serving 4, but it was perfect for me and my alcoholic partner-in-crime of two!

While the soju tasted strong upon drinking, I don't think I ever had the slightest buzz. Maybe it was watered down? But, our bartender, ever so graciously, gave us the rest of the watermelon insides to munch on while we drank. It was extra sweet!

I have a huge fan since Teahaus (RIP) and every time when I considered on going...it was Monday (they used to close on Mondays).

    FOOD//
My family tried all available buns (Spicy Chicken Bao, Korean BBQ Bao, Slow Cooked Pork Bao, Bangkok Bao), Haus Chicken Curry Rice, and 3 drinks (Grapefruit Honey Green Tea, Sea Salt Creme Coffee, Lychee Green Tea). Let me start with bad things: taste of bao and price of chicken curry. Uncertain to describe, but the buns tasted like plastic? Slow Cooked Pork Bao tasted like a soap. T.T Other than that, other 3 bao were great to all of us! The Haus Chicken Curry Rice, on the other hand, was really tasty and comforting. I personally thought the price is little high than it could be unless they are using organic ingredients. Now the goods. Both Grapefruit Honey and Lychee GT were fantastic as its name goes. All 3 drinks were not completely filled with ice like other places nowadays...The Sea Salt Creme Coffee tastes always different, honestly, depending on who makes it...personally was a miss for me, but it was not bad!

    SERVICE//
I actually had some balance to use at this location; so, I probably confused the guy. Either way, he helped out smoothly and everything came out on time, kinda.

    ATMOSPHERE//
Honestly, I don't know how the business is at other times and days, but it was too empty. We did go after lunch hour; so, hope they have some business. Either way, it's spacious and has wooden concepts that I received more modern restaurant vibe.

    SURROUNDING//
It's around 99 Ranch Market complex!

Not impressed with this place. They didn't have most of the items on the Yelp pictures. We got the basil fried chicken, which was supposed to be "award winning." Now I've tried basil fried chicken at other boba shops, and this might be 2nd to worst. There was no crunch and no basil flavor -- definitely not worth your $6.

We also got the Korean Fried Chicken. I've had alot of KFC's in my lifetime and this is probably the worst. The chicken didn't seem fresh and was drowning in sauce. The good KFC's I've had has the perfect crunch and tossed in sauce just enough for the flavor to come through.

Lastly, we got the Braised Pork Belly rice bowl. It was just alright, but nothing that would ever make me want to come back.

We didn't try the drinks, but judging from the food, they're probably mediocre at best.

If you want decent Taiwanese food in Austin, Coco's Cafe might be your best bet. Do yourself a favor and skip this place.

I would make the 20 minute drive just for the basil fried chicken nuggets!!!!! Too good. The best in town.

Sad to say that I've been by several times due to its proximity to my home and it has disappointed me basically every time.

    Service: 2
There was a specific employee almost every time I came who was repeatedly very curt and rejected several of my requests/questions with a "no" and without any explanation. As I paying customer I felt unwelcome and a little taken aback every time this happened.
The food and drinks, however, always came in a timely manner.
The only other employee that I encountered was extremely nice and friendly.

    Food: 2
I ordered 2 orders of chicken wings and in one order, two pieces were undercooked and pink. I didn't raise a complaint as I have already decided not to come back.
Chicken curry: the best thing that I've ordered here so far, decent portion size and well cooked.
Sweet potato fries: not soggy but bland.

    Drinks: 2
The boba is decent but they don't put nearly enough inside your drink for there to be a good ratio. The drinks themselves are the ones from Tea Haus but they all taste a bit watered down. When I asked for less ice and no ice before, I rejected by the rude employee.
